How to fish for catfish

Catfishes are a distinct group of ray-finned fishes named after their barbells which resemble the whiskers of a cat. There are different types, from large one’s breeds (Mekong giant catfish) that swallow other big fishes or other large preys to the breeds that eat dead animals on the bottom to the tiny parasitic species (candiru).
In general, they are negatively buoyant, which means that they will usually sink rather than float due to a reduced gas bladder and a heavy, bony head.
Here, we would be discussing how to catch catfishes not the ones cultivated in the ponds but the breeds in the rivers, lakes, ocean, etc.
